About Grow.

Why Grow?

Grow was developed by a bodybuilder, for bodybuilding, to help you consistently progress and achieve your goals.

With 10 years in development, Grow was developed to help bodybuilders, or anyone looking to improve their body, sport or fitness levels, and make sure they are constantly improving.

Having been lifting for almost 30 years, and coming from a time where pros like Dorian Yates tracked EVERYTHING they did, it was pretty obvious to make consistent progress you need to have a solid plan, and then stick to that plan. Bodybuilding takes a lot of trial and error to understand what works and what doesn't work for YOU. Everyone is different. You make a plan, follow the plan, make adjustments, and work out what's right for you. Ask any coach or PT... if you aren't following their plan, how can they make adjustments and keep you progressing? Having a way to track and record everything is critical.

After an extended break from bodybuilding due to injury, I started back in the gym in 2010. Gone were the days of pad and paper in the gym and people were starting to use smartphone apps. I got by for a couple of years but they just didn't let me do what i wanted, or required multiple apps, one for diet and one for training. It was a labour to cross-correlate data. So I started writing Grow for my own use.

The most important thing for me was making the app fast and easy. Bodybuilding and fitness in general is about repetitive consistency. We train the same. We eat the same. So the key underlying principle of Grow is setting you up then get you out of there. No one wants to waste more time in an app entering data day after day. Personally, I set up my day before bed, taking less than 5 minutes, then I only go into the app to track my workout sets and make sure im eating my meals and marking them off. Dont get me wrong. It's a beautiful app and you'll probably want to just hang out in there for hours 😉 But you dont HAVE to. You can actually have a life.

I've been using Grow now for 8 years on a daily basis to track everything and make sure im progressing. I've used Grow from not long after the picture on the left back in 2010, to get to the pic on the right from February this year (2021) a couple of days out from winning the Masters division of the IFBB Pro League NSW Bodybuilding Championship. I'm not saying this app will give you these changes, but it will definitely help you keep progressing and attain your goals. It wasn't just this app. Credit where credit is due. I owe so much of my progress the last couple of years and my comp win to Jimmy Sadek so if you need an incredible coach, hit him up. When i get a new program it goes straight in my app so I'm always on target. I checkin with him weekly via the app so he knows exactly what i have and havent done so we can adjust and keep making progress.
